Gelli Journal - String Tree

I made an art journal from box board, like cereal boxes. I gessoed the pages front and back and then I did gelli printing on them. For these two pages I brayered my paint onto the gelli plate, and then I put string down in a tree pattern. The first print was the one on the right which shows the shape of the tree. Then I took the string off of the gelli plate and printed the second print on the left which gave a fantastic print of the string. Click the picture to see a close-up of the string.
